Julian Hindson is an established, self-taught artist with a diverse array of painting styles - signature landscapes, hybrid digital/acrylic native birds and abstract works. With a huge base of leased artworks, multiple exhibitions and work in collections throughout the world, Julian's work is gathering a strong following.
"Like so many others before me, it all started with a dream. I still remember the dream as clear as day. I was in a gallery. There were no walls or floors, only a velvety pitch black backdrop punctuated by stars. Floating on invisible walls were amazing works of art. Each piece of art in the exhibition was large, very large. The colours and compositions were indescribable, I was 16 years old. Since having that inspiring dream, I have been working towards outworking this vision." On his journey of perpetual learning, Julian constantly strives to develop his creative skillset and apply it in new and interesting ways. A career spanning four decades in the graphic art industry shines through and the diversity of his artwork demonstrates a drive for play and experimentation. We met Julian in the gallery early in 2022. His limited edition hand-embellished digital/acrylic 'Avian Royalty' series has really captured our attention and we are so pleased to bring this stunning selection of works and select landscapes through Quay Gallery. |
